More (2009) is the result of an investigation inspired by Choreographer Tere O’Connor., who questioned how Headlong’s collaborative nature affects the creative process. In More, Headlong imagines a dance of our bodies after our bodies have gone away. A house is built, dismantled, and built up again. A farm appears with a paddock for retired bodies put out to pasture. Rooms morph into sculptures strewn with bodies. And as the landscape continues to shift, a furious dance of what the body isn’t tears across a domestic world that is both growing and coming apart. Two years in the making, Headlong uprooted a 16 year collaborative approach to create More, the company’s most intense and gripping work to date. A 2009 Philadelphia Live Arts Festival Premiere. 60 minutes.

“I found that with time, MORE stayed with me, the images loosening into a contemporary archetype that I recognized not so much with the mind but with the consciousness.” [MORE] -The Austin Chronicle
