Explanatorium

Explanatorium (2007)¬†explores stories of the paranormal, the supernatural, and the inexplicable. What do you do in moments that you can’t explain rationally? Can you expand the time between when you perceive the inexplicable thing and when you explain it for yourself in your mind? Dancers blow on organ pipes, jump out of their skins, and disappear into a snow storm. Audience participants lie down on their backs, bounce eyeballs, and meditate in a contemplative spiral walk. Performed in a profoundly beautiful, huge domed ex-church. Premiered at the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival. 70 minutes.
